Testimonials from my companions

Due to my mobility problems, my garden had become a bit neglected since last Summer. Then I saw Jo's website for gardening services and decided to use her expertise which is very extensive. I've had three visits from Jo who has completely transformed my garden - including painstakingly picking out all the numerous sycamore seedlings that fell from neighbours' trees! It is a joy to work alongside Jo, even with my limited abilities, and she is very knowledgeable about planting and the care of plants. Jo has been very flexible with subsequent bookings whether on a regular or ad hoc basis. Added to Jo's services, is her adorable and beautiful sidekick, dog Bonny, who is an absolute delight - especially if you have a cold sausage to give to her! I have no hesitation in recommending Jo's gardening services.

We have a large garden and cultivating it has been one of my pleasures in life.  Now that I’m 85 and have spinal problems I can do very little of the work myself, but I don’t want to hand it over to someone else entirely; I still want to feel involved.  That’s how it is with Jo.  I’m out there with her: I’m doing what I can from a chair whilst she diligently digs, prunes, weeds and plants as we chat.  Jo has a cheerful, caring personality and is not deterred by rainy weather. Before she arrives, I think about what needs to be done and make a list, Jo adds suggestions from her knowledge and experience - then gets stuck in. It’s a super arrangement and I still feel in control!

- Ann

Having a local gardener who understands the area and brings along the adorable Bonny has transformed my gardening experience. It's like tending to my garden with friends by my side. My garden was out of control, but Joanne has got me back on track again!

Frequently asked questions

Which areas do you cover?

I work within the area of Tonbridge and Malling and surrounding villages.

How much do you charge?

I charge £25 per hour with a minimum of 2hrs per visit. All travelling expenses are included.

What happens if I'm not well enough to help in the garden on the day of your visit?

No problem, I will still visit and hope you are well again for my next one.

What if the weather isn't very nice when you are due to visit - do you expect me to come out with you?

That's not a problem. I will come as planned (unless the weather is extreme) but I wouldn't expect you to come out and work with me.

How often would you visit?

I'm extremely flexible and can schedule visits on a weekly, bi-weekly (fortnightly), monthly, or as needed basis, depending on the specific requirements of each garden.

I'm not limited by age or physical constraints, I'd just like my garden maintained. Can you still help?

Sorry, my service is specifically for senior citizens and those with physical limitations who want to still be involved in their garden but could do with another pair of hands to help out.

Are you DBS checked?

Yes, I am DBS checked and I have public liability insurance.

I'm interested in purchasing a voucher for your garden services as a gift for my friend or family member. Is this possible?

Yes of course. Please get in contact and we can discuss options.
